Overview

On the Piazza
Since 1893

Eighty rooms and suites in the exact centre of the Renaissance city.

Hotel Savoy was built in 1893 on the Piazza della Repubblica, which puts it in the geographic centre of the historic city — between Brunelleschi’s dome and the Ponte Vecchio, with both within a few minutes’ walk. The hotel holds 80 rooms and suites designed to feel emphatically Italian rather than internationally generic. Thirty suites were completely restructured and enlarged in the most recent refurbishment, and the interiors, by Olga Polizzi, celebrate Florentine craftsmanship and materials throughout.

Named for Lady Forte. Irene, the hotel’s restaurant, is named in honour of Lady Forte, whose hospitality and generous table were the inspiration behind it.
