Overview

A Reimagined
Serengeti Icon

Sitting high on the Nyaboro Hills with front-row seats to the Great Migration, Serengeti Explorer is Elewana’s newest and largest addition to the Serengeti, opened in 2024.

Built on the grounds of the former Serengeti Sopa Lodge and entirely reimagined, Serengeti Explorer occupies one of the most central yet private settings in the park — accessible to the Moru Kopjes, the Great Migration corridors, and year-round resident game. With 70 Luxury Explorer Rooms and 5 Suites across elevated tiers, it is a considerably larger property than most Serengeti camps, built to combine world-class wildlife access with an extensive range of in-property facilities rarely found this deep in the bush, including the Serengeti's first on-site game-viewing hide.
