Overview
The Only Lodge Inside the Park
Tucked into the upper branches of an ancient mahogany grove on the remote southern tip of Lake Manyara National Park, this is the sole permanent lodge within its boundaries.
Lake Manyara National Park packs extraordinary habitat diversity into a small footprint — Rift Valley soda lake, dense groundwater forest, grassy floodplain and steep escarpment, all within 330km². Ten treehouse suites, elevated on stilts and built from local timber and makuti palm fronds without felling a single tree, overlook dappled forest glades where elephants sometimes wander beneath the decks. As the park's only lodge, and set far from the main entrance gate, game drives here explore areas simply inaccessible to day visitors — with a real chance of spotting Manyara's famous tree-climbing lions.
