Terms & Conditions
The basics of using this website and booking a journey with us, in plain language.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use finderskeeperssafaris.com and when you enquire about or book a journey with Finders & Keepers Safaris (“we”, “us”), based in Nairobi, Kenya. Your written quotation and booking confirmation form part of your agreement with us. If anything there differs from these terms, your confirmation applies. Our Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policy are also part of these terms.
2. Enquiries and quotes
An enquiry or quote request is not a booking. Prices shown on this website are indicative “from” prices per person and depend on dates, accommodation, group size and availability. Your personal quote states the price, what is included, and how long the quote is valid.
3. Booking and payment
- A deposit of 30% of the journey cost confirms your booking. Your dates are confirmed once the deposit is received.
- The balance is due 60 days before departure. Where we have agreed an instalment plan in writing, the instalments and final due date are as stated in it.
- Once your deposit is received, the price we quoted is the price you pay, except for changes you ask for and government taxes or fees that are outside our control and imposed after booking.
- If you think you may miss a payment date, please contact us before it passes, so we can protect your arrangements.
4. Group departures
Group departures run when the agreed minimum number of guests is reached. If a group departure has not reached its agreed numbers, we tell you early and you choose: move to the next available date, continue at a revised small-group rate, or take a full refund of everything you have paid.
5. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical evacuation and personal effects is required for all guests. We can help you find suitable cover. You are responsible for making sure your policy is in place before you travel and suits your plans.
6. Travel documents, visas and health
You are responsible for valid passports, visas, permits, vaccinations and any entry requirements for the countries you visit. We give guidance, and where your quotation says we arrange a visa or permit, we do so on the information you give us. Some permits, such as gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits, are issued in your full passport name and cannot be transferred or amended. Please tell us about any medical condition or mobility need that could affect your trip.
7. Your journey
- Tailoring and changes by you. Our itineraries can be tailored. Changes after booking depend on availability and may involve charges from suppliers, which we will tell you before you agree.
- Changes by us. Weather, road and airstrip conditions, park rules, flight schedules and supplier availability can force changes. We will keep you informed and offer an alternative of a comparable standard wherever we can.
- Wildlife. Wildlife and the Great Migration are natural events. We choose the best places and times, but sightings cannot be guaranteed.
- Safety and conduct. Wild places carry real risk. You agree to follow the instructions of your guides and staff, and to respect wildlife, local communities and the law. Some activities carry additional risk and may have age, health or fitness requirements.
8. Our responsibility
We arrange your journey using independent suppliers such as lodges, airlines, charter operators and guides. We take reasonable care in choosing them and in arranging and describing your journey. We are not responsible for loss, damage, delay or injury caused by events outside our reasonable control (including weather, natural events, strikes, civil unrest, border or airspace closures, and pandemics), or by your own actions, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
9. Using this website
- We work to keep information accurate, but descriptions, prices and availability can change, and the website may contain mistakes. Your quotation and confirmation are what count.
- All text, photographs, video, layout and logos on this website belong to us or our licensors. Please do not copy or reuse them without our written permission.
- The website may link to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
- Please use the website lawfully, and do not attempt to disrupt it or submit false or automated enquiries.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute, without limiting any rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. We would always rather settle a concern directly with you first.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and the version in force on the day you book applies to your booking. Questions: info@finderskeeperssafaris.com.
