Overview
Conservation By Partnership
Campi ya Kanzi sits on Maasai-owned group ranch land beside the Chyulu Hills, one of the earliest community-partnership camps in Kenya.
Campi ya Kanzi was one of the first camps in Kenya built on a genuine partnership model with the local Maasai community, who own the surrounding 400,000-acre group ranch outright. The camp sits at the base of the Chyulu Hills — young, green volcanic hills often called the 'Green Hills of Africa' after Hemingway's writing about the area — with views toward both Kilimanjaro and Tsavo. Camp fees fund the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust directly, supporting anti-poaching, healthcare and education across the group ranch, making a stay here as much a conservation contribution as a safari.
