Overview

The Most Luxurious
Camp in Hwange

Rebuilt from the ground up on the footprint of the original Linkwasha, Wilderness Linkwasha sits in an exclusive concession in the game-rich south-eastern corner of Hwange National Park.

At around 14,600km², Hwange is Zimbabwe's largest national park, home to the world's largest remaining savanna elephant population — over 45,000 animals. Linkwasha holds traversing rights to the private Makalolo and Linkwasha concessions, ensuring guests never share sightings with public game-drive traffic. The camp overlooks an open pan and permanent waterhole where wildlife congregates year-round, and is particularly known for exceptional wild dog sightings — one of the highest-density painted wolf areas remaining in Zimbabwe. Fourteen solar-hybrid pumped pans across the concession sustain wildlife through the dry season, drawing remarkable congregations to drink.

Location

Hwange's
South-Eastern Corner

Linkwasha sits in a private concession in south-eastern Hwange National Park, close to the game-rich Ngamo Plains, in Zimbabwe's northwest.

  • Hwange is Zimbabwe's largest national park at approximately 14,600km², roughly the size of Belgium.
  • Linkwasha's private concession shares vehicles only with sister camps on the neighbouring Makalolo concession — a huge area where other vehicles are rarely seen.
  • Wilderness has invested over USD4 million in Zimbabwean park fees and permits over the past two decades.
  • Children under 12 require a private vehicle for game drives; children under 16 are not permitted on walking safaris.
