Overview

Water on
the Plateau

Built around one of Loisaba's few permanent natural springs, drawing wildlife close throughout the dry season.

Loisaba Lodo Springs takes its name from the natural spring at its centre, a permanent water source that draws elephant, buffalo and plains game close to camp, especially through Laikipia's drier months. Cottages are spread around the spring on the Loisaba Conservancy, a 56,000-acre private reserve known for its progressive conservation model and rare predator populations, including a healthy population of wild dog. The plateau setting, at altitude and away from the crowds of the Maasai Mara, gives Lodo Springs a slower, more contemplative pace.
