Overview
Seventy-Five Thousand Hectares
Five suites and two presidential suites, in one of the largest reserves in South Africa.
Madikwe covers 75,000 hectares against the Botswana border in North West Province, and the single fact that shapes every itinerary through it is that the reserve is malaria-free — which makes Big Five country available to families with young children without a course of prophylactics. Molori sits in the middle of it with only five suites, plus two presidential suites, spaced far enough apart that you do not see your neighbours. Each has a large veranda and a private infinity pool facing the reserve. Rooms carry air conditioning, a personal bar, a Nespresso machine, a Bose dock and a telescope, which tells you what the evenings are for.
Malaria-free is the point. Madikwe requires no antimalarials, which is why it is the reserve of choice for families travelling with young children.
