Overview
A Hundred and Ninety-Five
A hundred and ninety-five rooms, including twenty-three suites, on the waterfront.
Park Hyatt Auckland stands on the Viaduct Harbour, the working marina beside the central city, and it was the first genuinely international five-star hotel New Zealand’s largest city had. There are 195 rooms and 23 suites, running up to a 245 square metre Presidential Suite with its own balcony, kitchen and internal boardroom. The design leans on Māori and Pacific reference rather than decorating with it. There is a 25-metre infinity pool, a hydrotherapy area with sauna, aroma steam room and vitality pools, and a spa using iKOU with manuka and lemon myrtle worked into the treatments.
Onemata is about kaitiakitanga. The restaurant is built explicitly around guardianship of the New Zealand environment, and the menu follows what the season actually gives.
