Overview
Above the Kakumbi Floodplain
Eight suites along a ridgeline, in the park that invented the walking safari.
Puku Ridge sits at the foot of a rocky hillside overlooking the Kakumbi floodplain in South Luangwa, named for the puku antelope that favour the open ground below. Eight tented suites run along the ridgeline, each with a super-king or large twin beds, a bathroom with dual vanities, an indoor-outdoor shower and a bath positioned over the deck, plus a small plunge pool with a long view across the plains. South Luangwa is where walking safaris were invented, and the park’s leopard density is among the highest in Africa.
There is a tower above your tent. Each suite has a sleep-out tower above it with a shaded canopied bed — useful between activities, and available for a full night in the open.
