Touch down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. Your safari representative greets you at arrivals and escorts you to your private transfer vehicle. Transfer to the JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi — a sanctuary of luxury in the heart of the city. Check in and settle into your elegant accommodations. If your flight arrives between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM, you are treated to a complimentary Nairobi city tour on the house: the Giraffe Centre, where you can stand eye-to-eye with endangered Rothschild's giraffes; the Nairobi National Museum, exploring Kenya's rich natural and cultural heritage; the Museum of Illusion for a playful stop with optical illusions; and a city orientation drive through Nairobi's vibrant neighbourhoods. Return to the JW Marriott in the late afternoon, where your safari guide gathers the group for a welcome briefing over dinner.
After breakfast, check out of the JW Marriott and depart Nairobi by road, traveling north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (approximately 4–5 hours). The journey carries you through Kenya's lush central highlands, past coffee plantations and small farming towns. Stop briefly at the Equator Crossing — one foot in the northern hemisphere, one in the south. Ol Pejeta Conservancy covers 90,000 acres on the northern slopes of Mount Kenya. It is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and the only place in the world where you can see the last two northern white rhinos on earth. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and settle into your luxury accommodation. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive across the conservancy's diverse acacia grasslands, where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra roam the plains. As the sun begins to set, your guide leads you to a sundowner location with Mount Kenya's peak catching the last golden light. After dark, experience a night game drive — a spotlight game drive that reveals the nocturnal world of the conservancy. Return to camp for a bonfire dinner, where rhino rangers share stories of their nightly patrols.
Wake before dawn for a morning game drive — predators are most active at dawn. Return to camp for breakfast. This morning's drive culminates in a visit to the specially managed enclosure where the world's last two northern white rhinos, Najin and Fatu, are cared for under 24-hour armed protection. After brunch, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary — the only such sanctuary in Kenya, endorsed by the Jane Goodall Institute, where rescued chimpanzees from across Africa live. After lunch, join researchers for a lion tracking experience: using a radio collar, you locate one of Ol Pejeta's resident lion prides. An afternoon game drive takes you in search of elephants, buffalo and Grevy's zebra. As evening falls, enjoy a sundowner on the plateau before returning to camp for a bonfire dinner.
A full day in Ol Pejeta begins with a dawn game drive in search of the conservancy's remarkable black rhino population — the largest in East Africa. Return to camp for breakfast. Mid-morning, embark on a guided walking safari with an armed Ol Pejeta ranger through the conservancy's acacia woodland: learn to track black rhino by footprint, read the signs of leopard activity and discover medicinal plants used by local communities. After lunch, rest during the heat of the day. In the late afternoon, another game drive explores new corners of the conservancy. A bush sundowner closes the day as the sun descends over the plateau, followed by a bonfire dinner back at camp.
After breakfast, check out of your camp and drive to Lewa Conservancy (approximately 2 hours). Lewa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most successful conservation stories — protecting 15% of Kenya's black rhino population alongside Grevy's zebra and reticulated giraffe. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive through the conservancy's rolling plains, looking for Grevy's zebra with their narrow stripes and large ears. Step out of the vehicle for a walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger, tracking rhino on foot through the acacia woodland. As the sun sets, enjoy a sundowner on a rocky kopje with sweeping views of Mount Kenya before returning to the lodge for dinner.
Wake before dawn for a hot air balloon safari. Transfer to the launch site as the sky shifts from black to deep indigo, then lift off above the Lewa plateau just as the first light catches Mount Kenya's summit. Drift silently over the conservancy's rolling plains — Grevy's zebra herds, elephant families and black rhino all visible from above. After landing, a champagne bush breakfast is served on the plains. After breakfast, saddle up for a horseback safari — Lewa Wilderness is home to more than 30 horses and some of the finest equestrian guides in East Africa. Ride across Lewa's open plateau, cantering past reticulated giraffe and Grevy's zebra. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the late afternoon, another game drive explores new corners of the conservancy, with a sundowner on the plateau closing the day before a bonfire dinner.
After breakfast, enjoy a camel safari — a traditional mode of transport in northern Kenya. From atop your camel, you see the landscape unfold at a slow, deliberate pace. After lunch, visit the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy headquarters for a conservation talk and learn about the anti-poaching unit, the sniffer dogs and the rhino monitoring programmes that have made Lewa a global model for conservation. In the late afternoon, another game drive explores new corners of the conservancy, and after dark you experience a night game drive. A sundowner under the stars closes the day, followed by a bonfire dinner back at the lodge.
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive to Loisaba Conservancy (approximately 1.5 hours). Loisaba's 60,000 acres sit on a dramatic escarpment 500 feet above the Laikipia plains. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive across the conservancy's plateau. Your guide leads you to the edge of the escarpment for a sundowner, with the Laikipia plains spread 500 feet below. Tonight, experience the magic of a star bed — your bed is wheeled onto a raised wooden platform under the open sky.
Wake up on your star bed as the first rays of sunlight paint the plains in gold. A bush breakfast is set up in the middle of the plains. After breakfast, embark on a guided walking safari on the Loisaba plateau with your armed ranger — on foot, the bush communicates in an entirely different register. Return to camp for lunch and rest. In the late afternoon, another game drive explores new corners of the conservancy, with a special focus on Loisaba's famous wild dogs. A sundowner on the escarpment edge closes the day, followed by a bonfire dinner back at the star beds.
After breakfast, enjoy a camel safari — moving in silence through the semi-arid Laikipia landscape. After lunch, visit a Maasai village on Loisaba's borders for cultural immersion: warriors welcome you with songs, junior warriors demonstrate the adumu jumping dance, and women teach the symbolism of their beadwork. Return to camp as the sun begins to set, and enjoy a sundowner on the escarpment edge. Sleep on the star beds again tonight.
A full day in Loisaba begins with a dawn game drive for lion, leopard and elephant. Return to camp for breakfast. Mid-morning, a guided walking safari explores new areas of the conservancy. After lunch, rest during the heat of the day. In the late afternoon, a final game drive covers new territory before a farewell sundowner on the escarpment edge — champagne and canapés as the sun sets over the Laikipia plains. Return to camp for a final bonfire dinner under the stars and sleep one last night on the star beds.
After breakfast, check out of your camp and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi (approximately 5–6 hours). The route takes you through the Great Rift Valley, with stops at viewpoints for photographs. Enjoy lunch en route at a town in the Rift Valley. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you are transferred directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departing flight.
